    What does "coming of age" mean?

    "Coming of age" means that someone is making a transition, from one stage of life to the next. One of the exemples Ms. Beebe gave us in class was when you get your driver's license.

    I agree with Kyra.

    It refers to how you make that "big step" to get something done or accomplish something, like getting a drivers licene. You have to make this huge shift to be able to get something done.

    Just to get somebody thinking... did you know that Mark David Chapman, had a copy of The Catcher In The Rye in his pocket the day he shot Beatle John Lennon across from Central Park? Look it up. What do people make of this?
